The Importance of ENTHUSIASM

Leigh’s biggest award came when she earned the Small Business of the Year award presented by Ernst & Young for the city of Memphis in 1997. At that time, she was the youngest woman to win that award.
There were many struggles and learning lessons that came with owning a business, and so Leigh created business systems that would simplify her life. However, in 2005 Leigh was diagnosed with breast cancer which changed her life forever. Her faith and fighting attitude helped her successfully win the battle against cancer, and Leigh decided to make several life changes including her career. She built a franchise with Beltway Business Brokerage, attained her real estate license, and merged her staging company into the Nashville market.
In 2009, she had the opportunity to join the top-selling dermatologist’s and started traveling the world as she built a multi-million dollar business. This platform became the ultimate vehicle to use for all her gifts.
Leigh now has SEE Global Systems and SEE Events, where she teaches business owners and entrepreneurs how implementing simple systems can make major adjustments in their business and life. Today, she enjoys financial freedom, a stress-free life, as well as, ample quality time with her husband and two daughters.
Leigh looks forward to empowering YOU to make those changes in pursuit of financial freedom and personal growth. Leigh has inspired thousands to empower themselves to make changes in their lives in order to create the life they desire. She loves to teach them how they can have it all by making minor adjustments in their daily attitude toward living a happier and fuller life. Leigh has always lived by what Andy Rooney says “Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.”

Mamie McCullough was in an audience of over 4,000 eager, energetic saleswomen. The speaker of the day was Mr. Zig Ziglar. When Mr. Ziglar presented the concept of the stairway to the top from his book, See You at the Top, she realized having a healthy self-image could be learned, along with how to get along with others, having a positive mental attitude, and goal setting.
Mamie is from Dixie, Georgia and was born to a sharecropper’s family. Her daddy died when she was only three years old. The youngest of nine children, Mamie Claire knew she wanted to “be better.”
When Mamie was 19 years old she heard about Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. Hearing she could “work her way” through college, she stepped onto a Greyhound bus for the 32- hour trip to Texas.
Supplied with a sack of fried chicken, two flour sack dresses, and $25, Mamie began her journey and new life. Facing many unknown hardships with courage and determination, Mamie discovered her love for business while putting herself through college.
With her strong business wits, education, and entrepreneur spirit, Mamie went back to her home state of Georgia to begin her teaching career. It was during this time as a high school business teacher Mamie realized something was missing in the business curriculum. Students were not being taught “basic education” – how to get along with each other, work ethics, character, manners and goal setting, to name a few.
Recognizing the needs of her students to learn what Mr. Ziglar was teaching, she approached him with the notion of using his book, See You at the Top, as her textbook.
Mamie McCullough introduced See You at the Top to her business students at Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia, making this the first school to teach Mr. Ziglar’s book.
Student after student achieved dramatic improvement in performance and self-image. The local business leaders responded enthusiastically to the graduating students who applied the teachings of Zig Ziglar.
One morning Mamie received a phone call from Mr. Ziglar. The chipper voice on the other end of the phone sang out, “Miss Mamie, I talked to the Lord this morning, and He said you were going to come to work for me.” Without hesitation Mamie’s reply was, “That’s interesting, I talked to Him this morning, and He didn’t mention it!”
Mamie did go to work for Mr. Ziglar and became the president of the Positive Life Attitude “I Can” division of Zig Ziglar Corporation. Millions of students have benefited from the curriculum Mamie wrote based on the book, See You at the Top.
Julie Ziglar Norman shared the Get Motivated platform with her legendary father, motivational icon Zig Ziglar, for several years before becoming the dynamic, disarming and refreshingly transparent inspirational speaker and author she is today. She is comfortable speaking to a small group of 25 or a venue of 25,000. Her unique experience of being raised by the motivators’ motivator has given her a perspective on life and work that keeps her audiences laughing, crying and taking notes. Continuing her father’s Legacy of Encouragement is an honor and a privilege that Julie never expected or sought but her willingness to accept the challenge is inspiring audiences in America and abroad. Her vibrant style of delivery, her honest and transparent assessment of life, and her willingness to share intimate details of personal failures, as well as personal triumphs, has made her a popular crowd favorite.
As her famous father once did, Julie has shared the platform with greats like General Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani, President George W. Bush, Laura Bush, Dr. Robert Schuller, Joe Montana, Lou Holtz, Steve Forbes, Sarah Palin, Goldie Hawn, Bill Cosby and many others. Julie’s client list includes Fortune 500 Companies, Non-profits, Network Marketing Firms, Christian Women’s Ministries, Pregnancy Centers, Post-abortion Trauma Groups, Foundations and Associations. Her latest book Growing Up Ziglar: A Daughter’s Broken Path from Heartache to Hope, was released by Guideposts Publishers in May of 2012. Cindy Cashman’s strong inner drive began very early for her and even as a child, her goals and achievements were astounding. At the age of 7, Cindy and her twin sister were entertaining the locals during halftime shows by walking across football fields on their hands! Always an outstanding athlete, she was involved in every sport available in high school, including tennis, golf, track and field, gymnastics and diving.
Her focus on athletics was so myopic that other areas of her life suffered tremendously-especially academics. At the age of 21, she tested only at the third grade reading level. An accident that kept her housebound in a neck support for 6 months was her much needed wake up call. She realized how out of balance her life had become, and set out to correct it, using the same skills that had taken her so far in the athletic field. Cindy focused on improving her reading and writing ability, as well as increasing her already outstanding marketing skills.
Cindy not only improved her reading and writing skills, she self-published and marketed 10 of her own books written under different pseudonyms selling over a million copies to become one of the most successful self-publishers in the country. Imagine the type of creativity it takes to sell over a million books. That creativity is embodied by Cindy Cashman, entrepreneur, businesswoman, and public speaker.
She lives an active lifestyle including jumping on the trampoline, boating, hiking, swimming, motorcycling, dancing and flying.
She is involved in community and civic activities and rejoices in being able to give back what she has become so blessed to have.

He then gave his live to Christ and began a recovery. Roussin began a business with nothing more than a phone and a business directory. After months of cold calling, Roussin was in a position to hire, and asked other members of the recovery program to join him at the kitchen table of his rented home office.

Against all odds on a gridiron in South Bend, Indiana, Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, in twenty-seven seconds, carved his name into history books as perhaps the most famous graduate of the University of Notre Dame. The son of an oil refinery worker and the third of 14 children, Rudy rose from valleys of discouragement and despair to the pinnacles of success.
Today, he is one of the most popular motivational speakers in the United States. It took years of fierce determination to overcome obstacles and criticisms, yet Rudy achieved his first dream – to attend Notre Dame and play football for the Fighting Irish. As fans cheered “RU-DY, RU-DY,” he sacked the quarterback in the last 27 seconds of the only play in the only game of his college football career.
He is the only player in the school’s history to be carried off the field on his teammates’ shoulders.
In 1993, TRISTAR Productions immortalized his life story with the blockbuster film, RUDY. Written and produced by Angelo Pizzo and David Anspaugh, the award-winning team who brought us HOOSIERS, the critically acclaimed RUDY received “Two Thumbs Up” from Siskel and Ebert and continues to inspire millions worldwide.
I heard it said once that, “Some people enter our lives and leave almost instantly. Others stay and forge such an impression on our heart and soul that we are forever changed.” That’s Zig Ziglar for me! He’s a National Treasure! He wasn’t just a speaker; he spoke to you with love and grace! If you had a moment with him, it seemed magical! He had a specific word, a story just for you and intentionally encouraged and reminded you WHO you are, Whose you are and the path you’re uniquely called to walk. Showing love and living that as Zig Ziglar did every day, has marked my life! Made me want to do the same!

Seth Godin is the author of 17 books that have been bestsellers around the world and have been translated into more than 35 languages. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything. You might be familiar with his books Linchpin, Tribes, The Dip and Purple Cow.
In addition to his writing and speaking, Seth has founded several companies, including Yoyodyne and Squidoo. His blog (which you can find by typing “seth” into Google) is one of the most popular in the world.
In 2013, Godin was inducted into the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame, one of three chosen for this annual honor.
Recently, Godin once again set the book publishing on its ear by launching a series of four books via Kickstarter. The campaign reached its goal after three hours and ended up becoming the most successful book project ever done this way. His latest, The Icarus Deception, argues that we’ve been brainwashed by industrial propaganda, and pushes us to stand out, not to fit in.
I have an unusual way of looking at the world. My wife, Sharon, says I’m weird, and truthfully I am weird. But there’s a reason. Starting from nothing, by the time I was 26 I had a net worth of a little over a million dollars. I was making $250,000 a year. That’s more than $20,000 a month net taxable income. I was really having fun. But 98 percent truth is a lie. That two percent can cause big problems, especially with $4 million in real estate. I had a lot of debt — a lot of short-term debt — and I’m the idiot who signed up for the trip.
The short version of the story is that debt caused us, over the course of two and a half years of fighting it, to lose everything. We didn’t tell anyone what was going on, but if we had to do it again, we would learn from the wisdom of others who have been through it. We soon learned that we were not the only ones at the bottom. Barbie and Ken (you know, the couple who appear to be perfect—perfect clothes, perfect car, perfect house) are broke, and I don’t take financial advice from broke people anymore.
After losing everything, I went on a quest to find out how money really works, how I could get control of it and how I could have confidence in handling it. I read everything I could get my hands on. I interviewed older rich people, people who made money and kept it. That quest led me to a really, really uncomfortable place: my mirror. I came to realize that my money problems, worries and shortages largely began and ended with the person in my mirror. I also realized that if I could learn to manage the character I shaved with every morning, I would win with money.
I went back to my first love, real estate, to eat and to get out of debt. Along the way, I began another path—the path of helping others, literally millions of others, take the same quest to the mirror.
I formed The Lampo Group in 1992 to counsel folks hurting from the results of financial stress. I’ve paid the “stupid tax” (mistakes with dollar signs on the end) so hopefully some of you won’t have to. I wrote the book, Financial Peace, based on all that Sharon and I had learned, and I began selling it out of my car. With a friend of mine, I started a local radio call-in show called The Money Game, now nationally syndicated as The Dave Ramsey Show.
Our company history is full of landmarks including 6 best-sellers on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Publishers Weekly lists —and we’re not slowing down. The Lampo Group now has more than 400 team members and a variety of products and services to help you reach your financial goals.
Many companies define success based on the dollars coming in, but at The Lampo Group we define our success by the number of lives changed: listeners getting out of debt, readers taking their first Baby Step and saving $1,000, FPU graduates investing for their future. We learned early on that if we help enough people, the money will come. Our mission statement isn’t just lip service—it’s our mantra:
“The Lampo Group provides biblically based, common-sense education and empowerment that gives HOPE to everyone in every walk of life.” Thank you for visiting our website! Wherever you are in the process — making the quest to your mirror, struggling to get your budget to work, paying off that last debt or debt-free and looking for places to give — let us know how we can help you take that next step in your money makeover. That’s what we’re here for!

David Keeler is Senior Vice President of Business Development at IHC Specialty Benefits with 35+ years of industry experience, 10 of them as part of the IPA Family, a member company of the IHC Group, and is a certified black belt in Six Sigma. That retirement would be short-lived. His good friend, renowned salesman and motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, would soon invite Mr. Keeler to join him at his organization as his Executive Vice President of Business Development, as well as, sharing the stage with him as a certified speaker and trainer serving individuals and companies across North America Mr. Ziglar’s mentorship prepared Mr. Keeler to help transform IPA Family from a small, privately owned company to a fully owned subsidiary of The IHC Group.

Jeff Goldblatt finds stories. He tells them straight from the heart. And he makes people care, creating storylines as a 3-time Emmy Award winner with 25 years of on-air, TV news experience, and as the Managing Member of a strategic communications LLC he launched in 2016, Jeff’s Journeys.
Jeff gives a new and dynamic edge to Zig Ziglar International as our Director of Operations by using video and social media to tell the stories of clients to grow engagement and ensure loyalty to brand. This is an exciting addition for ZZI considering the myriad adventures taken by Jeff as a journalist.
Jeff was one of the most travelled correspondents during his 9 years with the Fox News Channel from 1999-2008. He took stories and used them to build trust, deepen understanding and nurture relationships, whether it be in the Midwest or in war zones in the Middle East.
The stories he most remembers often came from his willingness to fly right into danger just when everyone else was flying out. Hurricane Katrina. Afghanistan. Iraq. The 2001 Anthrax Attacks.
The DC Sniper Shootings. He learned if you don’t take risks, you miss the stories that matter most–like how people struggled to clean up New Orleans, or New York City rising from the ashes with resilience after 9/11, or how violence rocked the Middle East as missiles flew overhead in Israel, all of which he saw and reported first hand.
Jeff has consulted Fortune 500 C-suite executives in the health care and aerospace/defense industries on public speaking, stronger communication and presentation and conversation strategy. ZZI intends to tap into Jeff’s wide range of skills and his expertise as a communicator and a story teller to help clients diversify and grow their scope of business. There are two things he loves about the stories he has told over the years: they often give a voice to the voiceless and every once in awhile, one of these stories has made a real difference.
Edwin Britt has been recognized by Fortune 500 corporate executives and small business entrepreneurs alike as the leading resource sales and leadership trainer to catapult employees to perform at record levels. With a prestigious list of clients like Coca-Cola, Miller Brewing, The Walt Disney Company, Tommy Hilfiger, NAPA, BB&T, Harley Davidson, QVC, and many others, Edwin knows what it takes to motivate key employees to achieve higher purpose.
As Partner and Executive Vice President of Edge Global, Inc., Edwin continues his journey to lead a life of significance that began when, inspired by Zig Ziglar himself, he created a Self-Help Card for his oldest daughter Savannah, containing 36 words that forever influenced Edwin’s life:
“I, Savannah, was born to win. God and my family love me. I was fearfully and wonderfully made. I am special, valuable and always respectful. Today, I will do my best with an attitude of gratitude.”
Zig Ziglar recognized Edwin at a Born to Win event in Dallas. Edwin presented Mr. Ziglar with his Self-Help Card, as a show of gratitude and appreciation, but Mr. Ziglar turned the tables and credited Edwin as teaching him an important life lesson about the effect you can have on others.
Edwin brings 30 years of sales expertise to the table, having represented product lines for Michael Jordan, NASCAR, and the National Football League. Combined with 14 years as a leading keynote speaker and certification as a Ziglar Legacy Trainer, Edwin shares Mr. Ziglar’s renowned T.R.U.S.T. Process with audiences nationally and internationally through his sales training presentations. Part of Edwin’s charm is his ability to sprinkle familiar references to sports and real life events, creating relatable and memorable lessons in leadership and life.
Edwin’s dedication to his wife of 23 years and three daughters pours from his very soul in every presentation. He draws from his vast professional selling experiences that have taken him from an humble beginning as a presenter to small businesses in the Southeast to Fortune 50 companies on Madison Avenue in New York. Edwin has appeared in prime time on QVC, and live in Michael Jordan’s restaurant in Chicago. He has been interviewed for his expertise in leadership and professional relationship selling in numerous national trade journals and been filmed for leading speaking and training videos and delivered hundreds of live international appearances on social media platforms.
A member of the Elon College National Championship Football team in 1981, Edwin continued his love for sports by ultimately becoming National Sales Manager for several Sports Marketing Companies that represented NASCAR, NFL, NBA, MLB, Arnold Palmer, Michael Jordan and Dale Earnhardt. This is where he honed his presentation skills traveling the country providing sales training and motivation, and his dream to become a professional speaker was born.
Today, Edwin is recognized as one of the leaders in his field. He has spoken in 44 of the 50 states and throughout Canada delivering inspiration, hope and the power of a positive attitude to companies and individuals who seek the mindset of a champion. He believes that gratitude is the healthiest of all of our attitudes and he ends each speech by pointing his audience to their highest potential and expressing his gratitude by saying “today I gave you my best, I left a piece of my heart with you, and take a piece of your heart with me on to the next city with love and appreciation”.
